What Is the Young Creatives Competition?
Introducing the Battle Abbey School Young Creatives Competition 2023.
The perfect event for GCSE and A-Level Students to showcase their creative work to the artistic community, all set against the fantastic back drop of the Abbey’s library and Great Hall. The competition is open to GCSE and A Level pupils from any school, so now exams are over why not submit your finished exam pieces and coursework for the chance to win a cash prize, and have something impressive to put on your CV.
Students can enter their artwork in one or more of three categories: photography, art or textiles, with the chosen finalists invited to exhibit their work at Battle Abbey School on Tuesday November 28th 2023.

Entries will be banded for the competition with GCSE level work and submissions in band 1 and A Level age work and submissions in band 2.
With a cash prize in each of the three categories (fine art, textiles and photography) per band and no limit on the number of entries you can submit, it’s time to start thinking now about what you will submit!
Remember the deadline for submissions is Monday 30th October 2023, just in time to get your exam pieces back after moderation and results.
All applicants will be notified by Friday 3rd November whether they have made the final show with successful applicants invited to attend the finalists exhibition on the afternoon of Tuesday 28th November 2023.
The finalists exhibition will be held at Battle Abbey School, a prestigious secondary school and sixth form in the beautiful location of Battle Abbey in Sussex. Students will have the chance to meet other like-minded, creative students and share their inspiration and ideas.
Please feel free to include photos of images from supporting studies such as sketchbooks or portfolio boards for your submission as well as a photo of the final piece. It may help your application.
Emailed entries should be titled BAS Arts Competition and emailed to info@battleabbeyschool.com. We also accept posted entries on memory sticks addressed to BAS Arts Competition, Battle Abbey School, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0AD.
